But Luis loved the sea and its Basque shoreline carpentry. There are cabinetmakers in his family. Wood and woods have been a presence in his surroundings and in his home since he was a child. This is why Luis has been putting together boats and building dinghies, since he was a young man. He understood the grains as he touched the woods.
